Julie Lampert

Julie has been an integral part of the LSCRF community for over 10 years. In the winter of 2005 former board chair and Julie’s dear friend, Ashley Hemphill Netzky, encouraged Julie to help with the LSCRF Golf Outing. Julie had an immediate affinity with the foundation and instantly became more involved. She officially joined the LSCRF board in September 2006 and the following year Julie co-chaired the Golf Outing. Julie has also served as co-chair of the Be My Valentine family event, co-chair of the Fall Benefit Purse Auction and played an active role on numerous committees. Prior to being elected Board Chair, Julie previously served as Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Foundation.

In addition to Julie’s role with LSCRF, Julie has been actively involved with numerous charitable foundations over the last 16 years and is a recognized figure in the Chicago philanthropic community. Julie has been involved with Chicago Gateway Green, Lookingglass Theater Company, After School Matters, USO of Illinois, the Joffrey Ballet and Shalva. Julie also sits on the Advisory Board for Common Threads and is a volunteer for Small Paws Rescue.

In addition to her many philanthropic endeavors, Julie has been an active options trader since 2000. While options trading may be the perfect fit for Julie’s quick mindset, Julie considers the time spent with her family & friends and philanthropic work as life’s greatest pleasures. Julie and her husband, David, reside in Chicago and they are parents to their vivacious 8 year-old son Teddy.
