Ashley Hemphill Netzky represents the next generation as she takes her place at the helm of the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation (LSCRF). As a member of the Board of Directors of LSCRF for eight years, Ashley’s experience with the organization began as trial by fire. She was recruited to co-chair the golf outing in her first year, and was immediately hooked. After co-chairing the Golf Outing for two years, she founded the Be My Valentine Family Event with Lara Shipp Shiffman in 2008, and co-chaired the Fall Benefit Luncheon in 2011 and 2012. The success of each of these events contributed continued and sustainable revenue to fund research and educational programs that LSCRF supports. As the Chair of the Board of LSCRF, Ashley is committed to a strong and disciplined focus on fundraising that will allow LSCRF to grow, ultimately making a difference in the lives of the women and men impacted by this terrible disease.
After an 18 year career in the investment business, Ashley recently made the decision to stop working to allow her more time to focus on the needs of her children and family as well as her philanthropic endeavors. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of Erikson Institute and is on the Board of Directors of Chicago Children’s Museum.
Ashley joined the LSCRF Full Board of Directors in 2006. In 2007 she was elected to the Executive Board of Directors, and from 2008-2011 she served as Treasurer. In 2012-2013 Ashley served as Vice Chair of the organization.
