Bio
Dr. Huang started his academic career as a faculty member in molecular engineering at the University of Chicago in 2015. He is a recipient of the American Cancer Society Scholar Award, Lynn Sage Research Award, NIH New Innovator Award, NSF Career Award, the Cancer Research Foundation Young Investigator Award, CBC Catalyst Award, and the NIH Pathway to Independence Award.
Most breast cancers are “cold” tumors that respond poorly to immunotherapies. This study aims to develop an mRNA vaccine that can turn a “cold” tumor “hot”. We will then combine it with checkpoint blockade immunotherapy (CBI) to test if these two complementary immunotherapies can eradicate breast cancer.
