BIG hope was unveiled October 2024 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
BIG hope resides in Pioneer Court between Tribune Tower and the Apple store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
Over 20 million people stroll down Michigan Avenue each year, making the Magnificent Mile number one in the nation for annual foot traffic.
With a donation, names and short sentiments can be included in the artwork.
For an investment of $100,000, a PINK sponsor can underwrite the cost of the entire sculpture, enabling the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation to invest every dollar raised into innovative breast cancer research.
Donations will fund:
- Innovative breast cancer research
- Collaborative clinical trials through the Chicago Breast Cancer Research Consortium, a partnership between University of Chicago Medicine, Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University at Northwestern Medicine & RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center
- Financial assistance for patients’ needs, like travel & childcare
- Inclusive clinical trials, which lead to more robust data from diverse patient populations
- Travel grants for doctors, residents, & fellows
- Medical grants and fellowships in the areas of breast surgery, breast imaging, oncology/hematology, oncofertility, biology & pathology
