Lynn SageLynn Sage was a wife, mother, daughter, colleague, friend, and a shocking statistic when, at the age of 33, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the age of 39, with her spirit and dignity intact, she died from this disease.

In 1985, to honor her struggle and applaud her strength, a small group of Lynn’s family and friends established a foundation in her name. The Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation is a world-class philanthropic organization internationally known for supporting state-of-the-art patient care, exceptional educational outreach programs and the kind of revolutionary research that brings us closer to a cure.

Lynn-Sage-Board-MembersIn 1991, the Foundation entered into a unique partnership with Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Since then we have expanded the partnership to include the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. Combining the Foundation’s commitment and capabilities with the Hospital’s reputation and resources, these organizations have built a powerful partnership that provides women with truly exceptional care today, and will continue to do so well into the future.

The program continues to provide women and their families access to the most up-to-date technological and medical advances in the field of breast cancer. The Foundation helped to open the Lynn Sage Breast Screening Center in 1997, where, combined with the Lynn Sage Comprehensive Breast Center, more than 60,000 mammograms are performed each year.
